Show Calves!

So, did you know that Loni didn't just come to play all summer? That's right. She actually came out here to raise some 4-H calves for the fair! This last week Wally has been gone so Stewart has been helping Loni walk her calves and get them ready for show. Addison has loved this opportunity to spend some quality time with those calves!
She's such a brave little girl! She'll walk right up to those calves without the slightest fear! {yes... a little scary for this momma!} As we were walking she wanted to be right next to the calf, and holding the halter! What a girl huh?!
Isn't she cute? {This is her latest trick, the "smile" face}
Spencer helped to get the calves out too
Addison LOVES being outside, and she loves animals even more! {I think a cow is her latest favorite because whenever we ask her what any noise an animal makes, she says moooo}.

Ready to go for another Cow Walk!
She loves to put on Stewart's boots and hat and walk around. The problem comes when....
well..... see for yourself :)

....well yep. There's the problem {smile}.

Playing Around

So the other day while Loni was here we had a little play date with the neighbors, the Hardcastles. They have 3 boys, Charley is 6 {almost 7}, Frank is... 4 {ish?}, and Pete is 2 {he and Addison are in Nursery together}, and they have a little girl named Winter. She was born the month after Brogan. Anywho- these kids sure had fun playing in the pool {on this somewhat chilly morning}. And when it was time for naps for my kiddos, they even took Loni to their house with them! They must've had fun because Loni came happy and tired.
We were a little worried they weren't going to come play, so Loni and Addison started playing in the little pool by themselves. Loni liked to splash Addison... and she didn't seem to mind {she's my tough little water girl!}
Brogie Bear just chillin in his seat, trying to keep out of the sun!
Loni and Charlie were having a contest to see who could sit in the pool longer. I think they both sat there for like five minutes. {Ya... that water that comes out of a garden hose is quite cold :)}
While down the road Loni collected some rocks! Here are the two biggest ones, and the ones below are her complete collection. {We'll see if those make it back to Virginia... I think she'd have to leave all her clothes here just so she could take her rocks ;) }
Loni got home just as Addison was waking up from her nap. They decided to watch a movie and snuggle together {they're such good friends}.
Oh yes... just in case she didn't call you Debi, Loni lost her other tooth! YAY!

Loni lost a Tooth!

We are once again seriously lucky to have Loni stay at our house again! Grandma Bingham went to Girls Camp, so Loni came to hang out with us for awhile! Today was the Twilight watching day {we only watched 2 of the 3}, but it got us in the mood for the next one {whenever it comes out???? :) } Loni also enjoyed playing with our new kitty Suzie {soon to be introduced on the blog ;)} We had a fun day and we'll have another fun day tomorrow. We have a little playdate planned with one of my friends, and one of our neighbors {who has a boy Loni's age}. They came down tonight for a little bit and Loni seemed to enjoy playing with them and their kittys. It should be a fun time!
So today Loni showed me one of her loose teeth, and it sure was loose! Then out of nowhere she had ANOTHER loose tooth! She wiggled and wiggled and checked it out in the mirror. Then she came up to me and showed me her prize tooth, and the gaping hole it left in her mouth! Too Cool! I told her to write a letter to the tooth fairy, and she looked at me like I was crazy! I told her that was the only way the tooth fairy would know how to find her clear in Idaho! ;) So hopefully tonight the tooth fairy will bring her some dough!
{And on a side note...}
I guess Loni is having too much fun learning how to make halters in 4-H. She decided to make a halter for our Suzie. {Suzie didn't like it AT ALL} Silly Loni :)

The Wedding {Part 3} {The Reception}

After the wedding we went to lunch at the Olive Garden {my favorite!!} Then we had some REAL fun! We went... SHOPPING! So for those of you that live in very Urban places, you might now share my excitement for "Utah shopping". Seriously we went to Target and it wasn't anything like our Twin Falls target! Utah just has better stuff than we do! After Target {where I got some fantastic shoes (on sale) and got some sweet clothes and shoes for Addison} We went to Ikea. Holy Moley- NEVER been to Ikea before! I think I've found my new love! What an Awesome store! I got the kids an art easle for Christmas, and I also found some "fags" as Stewart calls them. :) LOVE It! Definitely have to go back!

After shopping we headed back to Provo for the reception. What a blast! It was such a simple, classy reception! I LOVED that they had a dance {one thing I wish I would've pushed harder for at our reception}. It was so funny- as soon as someone started dancing, it was like "cue Addison on the dancefloor!" We had to hold her back while the newlyweds had their first dance! We'll have to put that girl in some dance classes! Oh yes- BTW Stewart- you still owe me that dance that we DIDN'T have! :}

Stew's Uncle Bob and Aunt Linda on the dancefloor! {Don't remember if they were doing the cha-cha, Tango, or swing, but they were workin it!

Daddy and Addison having a dance
Grandpa and Loni shakin it on the dance floor!

Addison had to have a turn with Grandpa!
One of the first one's on the floor! Stewart's aunt Linda even asked me "How does she know to do that?!" What a natural :)
Are these two not just the cutest things?!?! There were several small cousins dancing together. How adorable!
After all these posts I just realized that I don't have a picture of the bride and groom! They were gorgeous together! It was a lovely wedding, and an Awesome reception! We had a great little mini-vacation!

The Wedding {Part 2} {The Temple}

{There are a TON of pictures in this post, but it's only because I love how pictures capture memories! Whenever I post, I try to think of when my kids are grown and looking at this. I want to help build their memories from when they were little!} *just a little disclaimer haha!

Emmy got married in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. What a gorgeous temple it is! I love to go to temples I've never been to before, and this one was exceptionally beautiful! We were even able to go to the sealing. Some of Emmy's friends were kind enough to watch ALL the kids for everyone. It's always nice to hear the words of a temple marriage. Makes me appreciate my eternal marriage even more every time I hear those sacred words. The spirit at a temple wedding always seems to bring me back to the basics of marriage and appreciate the good man I have in my life. I am so thankful that our family can be together forever. I can't imagine ever being without them.
Loni in front of the Temple!
This here is my buddy Carter. When Stewart's Grandpa Lee died we went to his funeral. This guy was my little buddy! Now he's a little older, and a little more shy of the cooties, and I have TWO kids {so I'm not so much fun anymore}, but I still think of him as my cute little buddy. :)
Addison had a blast pushing the stroller. And I think Brogan liked it too. Win.
Addison wanted to walk with the big girls. She's growing up much too quick!

Brogan flirted with the {very cute} babysitters the whole time we were in the temple. When we took him back he crashed! {That's what ya get when you spend all your free time oogling at the cuties ;) }
Grandpa Bingham and two of his favorite grand-daugthers ;) Loni and Addison sure love him!
This is what the whole thing is about! Sure love these two munchkins!
haha! I love this picture! We were trying to get a good "brother sister" shot. Addison took the opportunity to try and hold Brogan on her own. Would ya say he looks a bit worried??? :)
I hope that I teach Addison all she needs to know so she can enter the Temple one day! What a great blessing it is!
Our little family in front of the temple. What a gorgeous view!
Addison walked up and down these stairs the whole time we were waiting for the bride and groom! {I got blisters on my feet from chasing her!}
"Look at that view Mom!"

The Wedding {Part 1} {Getting There & A BBQ}

A few weeks ago {yes, I've been terrible about updating!} we went to one of Stew's cousin's Wedding down in Provo. His cousin Emmi got married so we decided to go down for it. We went to a BBQ the night before the wedding and the kids had a blast! It was fun to see some of Stewart's cousins again and catch up with others I haven't really met before.
(I have a ton of pictures that I can't help but post, so I'm breaking it up a bit)

We took Nancy, Loni and Spencer down with us {Wally had to leave early to stop at some dairies}. Loni and Addison enjoyed the trip down {way to go!!}

{Addison fell asleep before we even got out of our driveway!}
{Love it when that happens! :)}
Loni and Addison playing games, reading books, singing songs, and having a blast!

Addison loved playing with Daddy at the BBQ!

Addison really loved the food they had! Especially these ICEE popsicle things. Yummy! Mom always loves a good mess to clean up :)
Brogan enjoying the nice weather. He's such a great little guy! Always so well behaved too! {Sure love this boy!}

I Love these pictures of Addison "flying"! She has such a good Daddy!

For you Debi

So you know how we found a stray dog {which I badly wanted to keep}? well we couldn't keep him. He chews the plants in the yard too badly, and another shock collar for our fence would cost about as much as a whole new system! Anyway- he was still here when Loni came over and she took quite the liking to him. He was scooting around on his bottom and Loni was a bit worried about him. She came in and told me... {are you ready for this?}.... we need to check his anal glands for worms. :) Yes. I sure wasn't ready for it! I just busted up laughing, I couldn't help it. Stewart reminded me that Loni is sure to know more than I about animals since her mother is a vet.

Just thought you could use a good chuckle about Loni today!

Lucky to have Loni!

Last weekend we were lucky enough to have Loni come over to our house for {almost} the whole weekend! Addison absolutely adores Loni, and it was so nice for her to have someone to play with! {I put a bunch of pictures in there for you Debi- and I'll be sure to keep putting them on as fast as I can get them off of my camera -we've just been so busy having fun!}

Loni and Addison enjoyed playing in Addison's room. Addison has a ton of little people and Loni was very good at building a little village!
Then we ate our BBQ chicken kabobs and some pineapple for dinner.
Loni is so good at making Addison laugh!
We made some very lime green sugar cookies. Loni enjoyed cutting out all sorts of shapes in them. {And I only burned one batch of them... but we ate all the good ones before I took a picture. That's why I have a picture of burned lime green cookies}.
Then we dropped off Addison and Brogan at Grandma Jensen's house so we could take Loni to the Ranch Rodeo here in Gooding. They have some outrageously fun events that don't happen at a rodeo. Teams competed in different events that would happen on a real ranch. Cow branding- the team had to rope 2 cows and brand them. Team doctoring- the team had to pick 2 cows {1 cos at a time}, out of the herd, get it to the other side of the arena and have it roped twice, once around each set of feet, all while keeping the other cows at the other end of the arena. Bucking horses- one team member had to ride a bucking horse, and they had to ride for 8 seconds with a regular saddle {saddle horn and all! -ouchie!} Range race- {this was so stinkin funny!} Two team members had to take off their boots, bridle and saddle and put them in the middle of the arena. The other 2 team members held their horses at the other end of the arena. The 2 guys had to run to the 1/2 of the arena, put on their boots, carry their saddle and bridle to their horse, put them on their horse, then race across the finish line first. Not only was it hilarious to watch these men sprint bootless in the arena, but when they saddled up their horses, they did it very quickly, and didn't do the best job. When they got on their horses and raced across the line, a bunch of horses freaked out. Needless to say there was a second bucking bronc show :). Last was cow loading- the team had to get one cow into a trailer with the door shut. This is the second year we've gone to this rodeo, and I just have to say- it's one thing we will look forward to year after year. Some great entertainment!
{I have to say Debi- I was ill prepared for Loni. I spend my day talking to my two babies who hardly ever respond. (mostly I'm just talking to myself). When Loni came over she fired the rounds of "whys" at me so hard and fast, I was totally unprepared! She's such a smart little girl and wants to know everything about everything. I am doing a bit better at answering all those tough questions, but I don't think I've thought about all those things since I was her age asking them!
Being silly watching the rodeo.
Loni rolling down the big hill at the fairgrounds. She didn't want to do it at first, but I think it was more fun than she thought {she did it over and over again!}
Super dizzy!
STILL dizzy! {and eating a hotdog}.
We picked up our kids and headed home.
{So much for a movie and popcorn! We'll have to save that for next time :) }
The next day {I forgot my camera}, but we went to a little "Heritage Days" Parade. They herded some cows down main street, had a youth mariachi band, a ton of horses, and horse drawn wagons. It was pretty fun. Loni did find a little ant nest on the wall we were sitting on. I told her to kill some of the ants {bad idea}. Ya- the small ant nest exploded!!!! millions of ants came out of the wood work! It was okay though- we didn't sit much anyway.

After the parade I went to a friend's wedding, and Stew stayed home with the kids. Loni played our high school musical sing it game {I bought it because it was cheap}, and boy can she sing! She played outside with Addison a bit, and played with Brogan too! We went to the rodeo again, but Loni was sort of bored with it. She was a little nervous about going to church in my ward, so she had Grandma come get her. {Secretly I think she just wanted to see the Dalton boy from Shoshone at church on Sunday -you know- the boy she had a crush on last summer?} ;) We did take her on Gooding's (not so famous) roller coaster road. And even though she gets car sick I think she liked it! Her and Addison {and even Stewart} giggled the whole way up and down it!

We had a fun weekend with Loni, and hope we get to have her over again soon! She is tons of fun and keeps my kids totally entertained! {And now I'll be thinking about why anything does anything -just in case :) }

Tired but not Sleepy

Lately Addison has been going through a sleeping funk. Her two year molars are coming in, so I know that often has something to do with it, bu she also has a hard time napping. She really needs two short naps, sometimes takes one long one, but lately, she's been taking one super short nap in the afternoon {which is not long enough for her OR me!}. Lately Addison likes when I sing her to sleep {even though she won't fall totally asleep}, but she doesn't like to snuggle to sleep. On this particular day, not only did I sing her completely out, she was also snuggling :) Ah, how I love when I get to snuggle a sleeping little sweetie! {Doesn't happen very often!}
