Brogan is Here!

Brogan Lee Bingham joined our little family punctually on his due date, Thursday, March 17, 2011. He weighed a solid 8 pounds 13 ounces, and was 20 inches long. He is perfect!

Stewart was exhausted after delivery! :)
I'm so proud of my little man!
He is a big boy!
Addison LOVED meeting her new little brother! She absolutely loves him and wants to hold him every time she sees him! She loves to give him loves, pat his head, touch his hands, and give him a few other... {eh}... "loves". She is sweet to him and I'm glad that she loves him.

I think he looks like Stewart.
Ready to go home!
He looks a lot like Addison, and has a lot of her same characteristics. He likes to have his hands by his face, and out of the blanket. In fact we have a picture of Addison that looks almost identical to the one above.
Addison absolutely loves her little brother!

More of Addison's cuteness

Yup... definitely a good mix of me and Stewart. She gets the shoe fetish {mostly} from me, and the attraction to ugly bowling shoes from him.
So tired!
Great Grandpa Funk is the best! Not only did he crawl around on the ground to play with Addison, he laid next to her while she drank her bottle. Not bad for being a young 81! :)
Super Bowl Sunday she curled up with Grandpa and took a nap, just like everyone else!
Addison loves her Grandpa!
Being a silly girl waiting for breakfast. (This is her "cheese" face). One of her newest tricks is folding her arms for prayer. She's getting to the point where sometimes she'll even bow her head and jibber jabber in her "bossy" voice, then at the end she'll make a little squeak and put her hands up for "amen". I've been trying to get a good picture of it, but it's hard to do when she's trying to reverent during prayer and Mom's not being a very good example by taking pictures!

Cookies anyone?

So the other night Stewart, Addison and I were all in our bedroom doing our own things. Stewart was typing away at some homework, I was lying on the bed talking to my mom on the phone, and Addison was just bummin around like she usually does. All of a sudden Stewart started freaking out yelling at Addison. Seems she had found a little ziplock bag with some chocolate cookies in it (which Stewart must have brought home, because if I had known we had chocolate cookies they would've been long gone!) Well this little girl decided to help herself to one and a half of these cookies before she was discovered! At first Stewart got mad at her for making such a big mess of herself and the floor, but I couldn't help but laugh. (I guess that's what ya get when you try to hide your chocolate cookies from your pregnant wife) {he he he...} After the initial shock of getting in trouble (and a few shed tears), we got her to crack the cutest chocolate face smile. How can you not just find this adorable?

Girls Night!!

First off- I have to say I absolutely LOVE these girls! Not only are they SO much fun to hang out with, but they are also the best examples to me of what kind of a mother and woman I want to be. This picture is from our 2nd annual girls night out to Death by Chocolate in Twin. We went and ate at Chillies first (I haven't laughed that hard in such a long time!) then it was off to stuff ourselves silly with chocolate! Ironically four out of the six of us are pregnant here, and three of us are only due a few weeks apart. It was funny to see the expressions on people's faces as we made our way around the room together. From left to right these fantastic women are: Suzanne Reeves, Jaime Williams, Amber Turner, Evyn Gillette, me, and Kathryn Yearsley. I'm so grateful to be able to have such great friends!

The Mom Car!

So we actually invested in this large purchase about three months ago, and I just realized I never blogged about it!!! We started looking to buy our Mom car at the beginning of December, and two weeks later we drove this baby home! It was my first car buying experience ever, and not really the best it could have been... (I don't recommend Goodie Motor in Burley) but the car was exactly what we have been looking for and right in our price range so we knew we had to just do it. This is the Mom Car of my dreams! (okay- I did give on the sunroof... which in hindsight I'm glad I did). This 2003 Tahoe has heated leather seats, a third row, four wheel drive, and only had 80,000 miles on it! I love that we can fit my whole family in it to go to basketball games, I love that I can go grocery shopping and not worry that someone will steal my bulk buys from the bed of my truck, and I also love that it drives like a dream! I know I'm pretty stinkin spoiled, but I'm glad Stewart thinks I'm worth it. I'm super excited to have a nice {four door} vehicle to haul my bebies around in!

Pregnancy- a little journaling

Right now I am 39 and 1/2 weeks pregnant with baby #2. I haven't been very good about documenting all the things I've been feeling during this pregnancy, so here is my "in a nutshell" (but not so short) version of the last nine months. I have been very blessed to have a boring, healthy pregnancy. I do have to say that the difference between Addison and this baby has been phenomenal, but I can now say that I know what most all pregnant women go through. Just to re-visit being pregnant with Addison (so we can get the idea of how easy she was) I was sick for the first few months, but only when I brushed my teeth and sometimes in the evening. I did have a sensitive nose, but mostly just got nauseated (instead of full-blown sick). I never had heartburn, my ankles only swole a TINY bit, I only had trouble sleeping in the last week, and I never felt like I was HUGE. Addison also came two weeks early and weighed a nice 7 lbs 2 ounces. I did however gain 40 lbs, (which was probably due to the fact that I was able to tolerate ice cream... {and lots of it}).

Now to my current pregnancy. Basically, it has been the complete opposite. I was sick sick sick during the first few months- like all the time and everywhere. I even had to stop on the side of the road in Utah one time to be sick. (That's NEVER happened to me). I got big FAST. By the time January rolled around I felt as big as I ever did while pregnant with Addison. Heartburn!?!! Oh it has been something fierce! I absolutely HATE tums, but they have saved my bacon more often than not. I have had swollen ankles, face, hands (and pretty much anything else that can swell up too). This last month and a half all that fit my feet are flip flops. {sad sad}. I have had the hardest time sleeping at night, and get Charlie horses way bad. I am also only a few days away from my due date {not two weeks early}. In fact I'm pretty sure that I will go past my due date significantly. I thought I was in labor twice (once we actually spent the night in the hospital and got sent home the next morning). (My contractions were strong and close but the little guy decided to go up instead of down). {Can I just say that leaving the hospital wearing the same clothes you came in and not carrying a brand new baby out with you feels like the biggest walk of shame ever!!} So since then I have been having strong, painful contractions, but have just been waiting for my water to break (or for them to finally induce me... whichever comes first). So now on a more positive note... I do have to say that there have been some different good things too. I always thought Addison was an active baby inside, but this little guy has really proved to be a mover! He also gets the hiccups pretty regularly. I love being able to watch my belly bounce up and down as he fights them off. The other thing I don't ever want to forget is how he rolls his little feet across the top of my belly. He does it quite often and it's so neat to feel from the inside, that little ball roll from left to right. That's one feeling that no one else can feel or see. It's like he's doing it special for me, and I absolutely love it. I know I won't miss being pregnant (at least for a little while), but I am glad that Heavenly Father trusts me to take care of his most precious little babies. I have been anxious to finally meet this new little man, and can't wait till I can hold him in my arms. It has definitely been a long nine months, but I know as soon as he's here, all the long nights, swollen ankles and heartburn will be long forgotten.
End of January...
This is probably the end of December...
The end of February...
It's so cute to ask Addison, "Where is baby brother?" she'll lift up my shirt and tickle my belly. Then she'll give him kisses and snuggle my belly. I know she's going to make a great big sister!
{And yes- we do have very nice brown slipcovers... they were just being washed :) }

Addison turns ONE!

Yes it's March, yes, Addison's birthday was in January, and yes... I'm still trying to play catch-up on all the things we've been up to! For Addison's birthday we had a little party with all our family. We did have a little bit of a Minni/Mickey Mouse theme, but I decided not to go completely all-out for it because hey- all she'll ever remember is the few pictures we managed to capture, the few minutes of video we {remembered} to take, and this little blog post. :)

Addison LOVED all her presents, especially this little bike Great Grandpa Funk made her. She aslo LOVES her bell tower he made. If Addison is having a hard time there are usually only two things that will immediately cheer her up. One is our dog, Rambo and the other is the bell tower Great Grandpa made!
Here she is eating her own cake. I wish I would've gotten a picture of it before she demolished it. It did look like Tootles from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I made the cake and Stewart frosted it, and I have to say he did a great job! It was quite cute!
Addison is a pro present opener. Her best technique was the "tear a tiny piece and hand it to Mom". She did pretty good opening her presents. There were a few toys (like this tractor/farm set that Grandma and Grandpa Jensen got her) that she didn't want to give up.
Here's the birthday girl with her first present (not quite sure why everyone's watching her)
And here's the "fresh out of the tub after birthday cake" Addison playing with her balloons. (She chased balloons all over the house for a week!)

Mommy's Little Helper

Since the end of December Addison has really taking an interest in helping me around the house. She follows me around everywhere and "helps" me with whatever I may be doing. I hope that someday Addison will still love to help me (and hopefully she'll be more understanding of what I'm trying to accomplish) {smile}. Until then I'm just glad I have a happy little girl who loves to hang out and help whenever she sees an opportunity! Here are some things Addison loves to help with.
Helping me re-organize.... (she pushed these shelves all over the kitchen).
Helping me get things out of the {childproofed} cupboards.
Helping me "fold" the laundry....
Helping me file bills....
Helping me get clothes out of the dryer...
Helping Aunt JoAnna with her homework....
Helping me clean out my purse....
Helping with the dishes... (now she will actually hand me one piece of silverware at a time to put away!)
Helping me with coupons....
Aren't you jealous of my little helper!?! :)
