Rewind....

This is another catch up post.  All these pictures are from sometime Spring/Summer/Fall of 2013.

 Addison earned her bike this summer.  She had a rigorous chore/behavior chart, and it took her a little longer than she planned, but she earned it!  (Brogan also earned his, but it took much longer, and he hasn't quite figured it all out yet).  Addison has been a great sharer/pusher though!

 Rick and Debi, and aunt Shannon were all out here this summer.  Fun cousin love shucking corn!

 I had to take ONE summer math class to finish my degree.  I did it online, and it was pretty easy (just stupid math that no one will ever... EVER use again).  I passed, but was pretty worried about my final (you have to get a C on the final to pass the course).  So I studied (I know- who am I?!?!)  After hours of studying and taking about four page of study notes for the final, I came back to the desk to find this.  Someone else wanted to help me take notes... on top of my notes.  This is a common thing for me to find.  Welcome to motherhood!

 My Uncle Niel brought his family out this summer.  My kids absolutely LOVED hanging out with my cousin Caleb.  He took them on so many "Adventures", through the stickers and weeds, into the pastures, down all the dirt roads and on all the old equipment... they loved it!

Rewind... A little bit of it all

I haven't posted in so long that there's no clean cut way to catch up, so we're just going to go in order of the pictures from my phone (the only camera we currently use).  So here's a mash up of  our spring/summer/fall 2013 (In a couple of posts)

"Helping" Grandpa Funk.  His neighbor was building a shop, and it was very interesting to all!

 My friend Malan had a baby boy this spring and had a super fun "Mustache Bash" baby shower.  It was great to get together with all my friends from high school and be goofy again.

 The same night my friends Tiffany and Ross Koyle had their wedding reception in Gooding.  Can you tell that the kids LOVE going to these events (always sooo delicious) ;)

 I have worked my butt off and finally got to a place where I was happy with my physic.  (Now I'm pregnant and it still amazes me how quickly your body can change back to flabby when it took so long to get it where you wanted.... and Yes- I have big plans for post-pregnancy shredding!)  Jaime and Dustin are my workout buds.  Never could have done it every morning at 5:30 am without them and their motivation, competitiveness, silliness, and pure awesomeness.  These two are pretty great.

The kids love to dress themselves now, and help each other get ready to go.

 We did a little landscaping this year... We took out that tree and a few others on the other side of the shed.  We dug out all those rocks and added a fire pit.  (We have yet to fill that space with grass... but next spring it's project #1).

 We tore down the fence between us and the neighbors and rebuilt it.  (The view into our yard from the neighbor's.

 We "Refinished" our deck (well- part of it).  Stewart pressure washed all the peeling paint off,

 sanded the big splinters a little

 Then did two coats of the rustoleum "restore" product.  It completely sealed the crappy wood on our deck and made it nice to walk on again.  Next spring we have to finish the little covered area of the porch, and all the rails/sides.  (I was too broke, tired and pregnant to worry about the rest of it this summer).

The kids got to meet their new cousin Bridger, who shares a birthday with Brogan! (and Lindy too).  They absolutely love him!  

Addison got to go to a Princess party for her friend Taylor.  She loved getting all dolled up! 

 Boys will be boys- We're supposed to be getting in the car, and they are both watching football....

 Addison fell and cut her chin open (just a little).  She needed a band-aid though, and insisted on putting it on herself.  Just a wee bit high- but boy did it help!

 Addison has been letting me fix her hair more and more... and she's also very into fixing her own hair too!

 She has a good sense of what's stylish. ;)

 Stewart graduated from the University of Idaho with his Bachelors degree!!!  Couldn't be more proud of him!  (Watching his graduation online -I made him wear my cap since we couldn't make it to Moscow... he was thrilled)

 By the way- did I mention I'm PREGNANT!?!   Baby #3 is due December 7th! Our little baby boy will be making an appearance soon!

CSI Graduation

I finally did it.  Graduated from CSI.  Got my Associates in History.  Someday I'll get my Bachelors in Secondary Education and be a kick ass history teacher, but not for awhile.  Until my babies are rasied I'm going to try to be a kick ass mom who has an Associates degree. :) 

 Stewart also graduated this spring, but he got his Bachelors degree in Agricultural and Life Science from Universtiy of Idaho.  It's a good feeling to not be students anymore (although I'm not sure it has fully sunk in yet).  This fall when neither of us are fighting over who gets to use the computer at 11:00 at night perhaps we will know :)

 Of course the ceremony was dreadfully boring, and I was in the back of the auditorium (literally almost the last one to get my diploma), but thankfully I sat next to a hilarious Asian kid that cracked jokes the entire time... so I guess I was a bit entertained.

                                       

Also- a huge thanks to Nancy, Wally and Lindy for going.  It was so hot and boring, I felt bad they had to sit through it, but I'm so lucky to have great family support (and dinner at Sizlers was the perfect graduation night gift!) ;)

Disney Day Three!

Our final day spent at Disneyland/California Adventure was pretty chill.  We decided to split the park and go on our favorites again.  We also decided that we should snap some pictures of characters to give the kids something to look forward to.

 We ate at Flo's Cafe in California Adventure.  I wasn't too impressed with the food (not my favorite style of homecooked food) but it filled us up!

 We did all the smaller rides that we missed on the first two days... like Luigi's Flying tires in Cars land.  These bumper cars inflated with air and all the holes in the ground released air. To move you had to lean just right.

After our day at Disney (we left around 4) we headed to our next destination: our hotel at Huntington Beach.  We picked up a pack of fresh berries from a street stand, stocked up on treats and microwavable food at Walmart, and dashed our plans of spending the evening on the beach.  Instead we holed up in our hotel room and fell in love with Duck Dynasty while eating clam chowder, chips, cookies and other great junk food. It was a super relaxing (and even fun) evening!
