An embarrassing story...

So... my morning sickness had it's first public debut this last week. It was pretty horribly embarrassing! On Friday night my good friend Brittanie Toone came to Twin so we could catch up and hang out. We went to dinner at Sizzler and me not being too hungry, just got the salad bar. I had SO MUCH good fruit and had a salad that was very tasty. (I think the problem with the salad was the garbanzo beans and meat I put on it) (I haven't been doing well with meat). Anyways, I was feeling fine until we got parked at the drive in.... then disaster struck! All of a sudden I felt like I was going to throw up and sure enough I did, right outside my door. Now I thought this was embarassing because there were people behind me and probably watched in horror (as they were sitting on the ground in their lawnchairs :) Well, I continued to feel sick and had one more out the door incedent before I decided that I really needed to find the bathroom, AND FAST! So I'm practically jogging through the parking lot towards the snack bar when I totally just lost it all. I tried to just keep it in my mouth, but there was a lot more than I thought there would be... so I just let it all go in the middle of the parking lot. So now not only is there a pile of grossness in the parking lot, my hands and face are also coated, and there are a few nice spots of it on my shirt too! So I wiped my face off and shook it off my hands as good as I could and didn't even look around me to see how all the people were looking at me (but there were a LOT of people around me). Determined, I tried to act like I didn't have grossness all over my face, hands and shirt as I looked for the bathroom.... and Yup... I couldn't find it!! So I had to ask someone where it was (as if I wasn't already drawing enough attention to myself)! When I got to the bathroom you better believe that I didn't have anything left in my stomach so I just washed my hands and face and shirt and left, pretty much defeated. (I took a nice long detour back to the car and totally avoided my initial route :) I was fine for the rest of the night (as far as being sick), but my pride was definately hurt. Never have I been sick in public. In fact I've never not made it to the bathroom before! So I'm blogging about this more for journaling purposes. Lots of people have told me to journal about it so I can laugh about it in a year. Well, I probably still won't think it's too funny in a year, but perhaps in a decade :)

Hey Babay

So... I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday. I didn't really know what to expect, and was quite surprised to find out all that goes on at your first appointment. Ya know, no one tells you about that kind of stuff until after it's over, then they're all like, "oh ya, that sucked huh?" :) Well, the appointment went really well. I found out my due date. February 14, 2010! I have an appointment in a week to get an ultrasound, then in another two weeks for another ultrasound!
We are just so excited!!

Fourth of July

We had such a great fourth of July this year. It was kinda chill and really a great day. We started out EARLY by going to Dietrich for the Scout's pancake breakfast. The pancakes were REALLY good and probably the best thing I've eaten in weeks! It was pretty windy and the makeshift pavilion (a round piece of plywood screwed onto the top of two two by fours and squeezed between two tables) kept blowing down, which ultimately made for some pretty great entertainment. After breakfast Stewart, Hank and Omar played in the three on three basketball tournament put on by the school. They lost their first game, their second game, but luckily won the third game. It was a fairly close one, and it's a good thing they won, because they played the girls team :) We grabbed some lunch at the Merc, (something we had to let Omar experience) then headed home. I got a FABULOUS nap in and Stewart got a much needed shower.

We planned on going to my Grandpa Funks for our annual fireworks show and wasn't sure if anyone was bringing any food. So we decided to stock up just in case. I decided to make rice crispy treats and brownies (and take a watermelon just in case). So my first batch of rice crispys I burned terribly, but luckily had some extra marshmallows in the cupboard. I think I made the BEST rice crispy treats I have ever made!! Everyone loved them!! Including Omar!! We dragged him to Gooding with us to enjoy our spectacular fireworks show and all the way there he snacked on a pan of those tasty treats! So we got to Gooding a little early and decided to break Omar into another small town specialty, roller coaster road! For some reason that road can make people have a good time! :) So we went to my parents house (to wait for dark) and ended up playing the wii and watching a movie. Finally about a quarter to ten we headed into town and braced ourselves for the AMAZING fireworks show. We had SO many fireworks!! And my uncle Tony brought his infamous illegal fireworks that always STEAL the show! They were SO great! My grandpa's house is in the perfect spot too, we could see about 4 different fireworks shows around us! Hank and Mekala stopped by too and we had a good ol time with everyone! The cutest part of the whole night was watching the boys (and mostly Stewart) run to light fireworks and run away from them. Poor Stewart choose some innappropriate footware for this event.... Have you ever tried to sprint in Flip flops? :) It was a good show :)

Yellowstone

This last weekend we took a trip with Stewart's family to Yellowstone. We had a great time and got to see lots of neat things. The first picture is of me n Stew at Mesa falls. This was a really neat place. Walking down to the falls the river looks like it just disappears, but as you get closer there are these beautiful falls. It was a nice place to stop and walk around.

This is a picture of one of the Elk we saw. This was right on the side of the road! It was really neat to see it up close like that! Stewart took about nine billion pictures (he was practicing for his debut as a professional photographer :) This is a really cool picture though... Good job honey.

Here we are in Yellowstone park at the Yellowstone Grand Canyon. It was really pretty to see the water and the yellowed rock from the sulfur.

Here is Loni and I pulling one of our silly faces. We got to ride in the Yukon together a bunch and had tons of fun looking for animals, learning about Yellowstone, and taking silly pictures. It was good to have the time to really get to know Loni, Debbie and Ada better!

Here we are at Old Faithful!! This was the day that it seemed to be raining all day long, and also seemed to be the day we wanted to get out and look at all the neat things. It was kinda hard to see the faithful geyser against a gray sky, but it was neat. We have Ada in this picture.... this will be what it's like in about a year for us.... we'll have our own cute little baby to pack around :)

I love this picture!! We went to the gift Shop at old faithful and they had a lot of neat things. We bought some mugs and had a hard time picking which ones we wanted. We thought we were going to get these ones, but it was clear that if we got these mugs we would have to get these motorcycle caps :) what a cute husband I have!

Here is Ada wearing Loni's coon skin cap... she was such a cutie the whole trip!

Here's one of the bears we saw. It was right across this river!! It was neat it romped around a bit and overturned a stump to get the bugs from the bottom! Way cool.

Here we are in Jackson Hole at the famous antler arch. We managed to get our own picture that turned out really good! This was one of the coolest things in Jackson Hole!

So I was pretty sick most of the trip. It was probably a combination of a wacky eating schedule, lots of time in a car, and being pregnant :) This is how me and Loni made the most of it on the way home.

We had a really fun time, but like all vacations, it's good to be home and sleep in our own bed... (our own king-size bed at that :)

BIG NEWS!!!

Sooo.... here's the news you've all been waiting for!! Yes indeed the Binghams are expecting!! I am almost six weeks along now and doing great! Me and Stewart are SOO excited!! I hope it's a boy first, and Stew hopes it will be twin black boys (sorry honey... not gonna happen :) As far as my "morning" sickness... it comes at night (when it does). Most nights I feel ok, but if I eat some certain things (like chocolate or pickles for example) it sets it off and I'm done for. But it's all worth it! We are so excited to be parents!

Our first night Apart

So this weekend was the first time me n Stew spent a night away from each other. It's kinda sad, but we are together SO much of the time it was hard to be apart. My parents went to Salt Lake for a cousin's wedding and invited me to go. Stewart was subbing in for his dad and Dietrich's JV basketball team and wouldn't be home till late and would be leaving early the next morning... so I decided to go on the overnighter with my parents. It was a good trip and lots of fun to hang out with my parents, but I missed Stew like crazy. Everyone kept telling me that "distance makes the heart grow fonder"... it just made me miss him even more. Ultimately I'm glad to be home and glad to be back with my honey!

Bingham update

So this last weekend was mine and stew's "summer vacation". Since I am taking full time summer school and Stewart is working ALL the time we figured we had better get away before real life wore us completely out. So we (I) decided to go to Lagoon. We went with Hank and Mekala and had such a good time! I was pretty bad about taking pictures (i didn't) so there's none to show you really... We went to the waterpark as soon as we got there. That was probably the hotest part of the day so that was good too. After that we made our way around the roller coasters. We went on the cliff hanger that completely soaks you, but that was ok because the intense heat dried us out pretty quickly. So then later we decided to go on the log ride. You know... that tame log ride that only goes around a bend then over the hill... no big. Well we waited in life FOREVER and only a few people on the ride seemed to come out wet. Yeah right. We weren't that lucky. We were completely SOAKED!! It was fun... and still ok cause it was still pretty warm. Our next decision was to ride rattlesnake rapids... bad idea. yes we were wet, but my shoes and hair was still dry (the two things that I really enjoy having dry). Well thanks to those rattle snake rapids we came out even wetter than before! (at least I was). I was the one that when the water splashed into the raft it went right down my back. I was also the one who went under the most water on the water fall part (yes... making my hair AND SHOES soaking wet... not damp... WET. By now it has become overcast, and yes... cold. It was all downhill from there. I don't know about you, but when I have wet tennis shoes, I start getting cranky. Not to mention that the wind picked up (like tornado speed). so we decided to ride two more rides then head home. It was a fantastic trip though! I had tons of fun and I think that everyone else did too. AND it was a perfect way to rejuvinate for our busy summer.

School (btw) is going great. I have a spinning class mwf at six (yes in the morning :) It's a good thing it's early because it helps me to get more done during the day. then I have Sociology from 8-9:20 and Math from 11-12:50 on M-T-W-Thurs. I also have an online business class I'm taking... so far so good (except for the $177 book I had to buy). The best thing about summer at CSI is that it's only 2 months long :) perfect for me.

More Fun

So Stewart has been calling into the radio station to try and get qualified to win a four wheeler and the other day he was the very last one to get qualified. So on Saturday he had to be at the RV place to try and win. Saturday was also the day we got to watch Lee and Becca's kids so we loaded them up in Grandma Nancy's Suburban and went to town! Unfortunately all Stewart won was a t-shirt, but we had so much fun with the little kids! We got happy meals and new shoes... so overall it was a fantastic day!

Here is Cora with my old phone that I gave to her (Reeta :) Notice the band-aids on Cora's arm. She was chasing Grandma's kitty snoops and snoops "hit her". The kitty got her pretty good, but Cora is a tough girl. She kept saying "Snoops go to bed!" It was so cute!

Here is Dalton keeping himself hydrated with water from his happy meal! They sure loved the nigth at the museum toys... they kept them busy for a long time!

Eliza was such a good girl all day! This picture is on the way home and after a good long, hot day she was still smiling and having a blast!

These are Cora's awesome new crocks! I think she really liked them too. I got the camera out and she proudly displayed them for me. Before we left Twin, Stewart, Nancy and me got a Fruitista freeze from Taco bell. Of course Cora and Dalton wanted some of mine so I gave them a taste thinking they wouldn't like the pina coloda taste. Dalton really didn't like it but Cora liked it. Everytime I got a drink she wanted one too, it was so cute to watch her get a little brain freeze after she took a drink. She would tense up then smile and kinda chuckle... "brr... cold!!" What cute kids eh?

Nieces & Nephews!

So Stewart's brother Lee and his wife Becca are here with their three kids Dalton, Cora and Eliza. They are the cutest little kids and so good! Becca's brother is getting married and they went through the temple with his fiance on Saturday So we got to spend the whole day taking care of these sweet little children! We had fun playing in the garden and on the trampoline.

Here is Cora and Dalton helping uncle Stewart in the garden. They became little Idahoan potato farmers for a day!

They did such a good job planting the potatoes! Eventually Cora got distracted and it was only Dalton and Stewart. Stewart would dig the hole and Dalton would toss them into the hole... it was so cute (and Dalton is a pretty good aim!)

Here is uncle Stewie playing on the tramp with the kids... they just LOVE him!

Cora's hair is awesome!! What a cutie!

New Church Callings!

So today I was called to be the new Mia Maid Advisor! I am way excited! I only have one girl in my class but today there was only three girls total (it's a small young womens and today is a "vacation" weekend) but they tell me it's pretty small anyways. I'm still excited though and being in young womens means I get to go to Girls Camp! Luckily camp is the week after I finish summer school so I won't have to miss any school for it! So now I get to plan a lesson for Sundays and schedule my Wednesday nights for mutual! Growing up is so exciting! :)

Stewart also got a calling. He will be assisting the Elder's Quorum secretary (he's excited... even if he won't admit it.... he told me not to put this in the blog but I am anyways :) Love you Honey!

Our Garden/Redneck Porch

So I have been wanting to plant some herbs in garden boxes and hang them from the porch railing. Last night I went to Wal Mart and picked out a whole bunch of herbs and planting boxes and decided to get some flowers too. I brought them home and me n Stew ended up planting them last night in the dark. It was still fun, and now we have some good plants... not only pretty, but also functional :)
Here is Stewart posing (sitting on our redneck tucker tote on the porch). The railing hooks I bought don't actually fit our porch so for right now this is it.
Here are our cherry tomato plants we bought. Hopefully they don't out grow this pot too much... we figured it will be nice to have some little tomatoes (no matter what our neighbors think of it)

I don't know why this picture wouldn't turn the right way. This is our herb garden. (When I do cook) I like to use fresh stuff and have always had it living in the country... so I figured why not have them while we live in the city too? So here are my herbs... I got chives, lemon basil, cinnamon basil, parsley, thyme and rosmary. On the way home from wal mart the pickup smelled so good with all the plants in it... smelled like a pizza :)And this is a picture of what Stew sat in when he posed for me on the tucker tote. He didn't even really notice till he got up and started walking into the house... dripping water... what a cutie.

Hank's Birthday=TAILGATE!!

So last night was Hank's birthday and also the last day of finals. So we decided that we needed to go celebrate. Me n Stew told Hank we were going to take him out to shoot skeet out by Dietrich, but we really had something else planned. We went and got him and took him to Gooding, picked up Mekala and went out to my parent's house to do some good shootin and eatin. We had LOTS of fun and I think it was just what all of us needed, a break from reality :)

Me n Stew sold back our books to CSI and made a little bit of money on them, so we stopped by Wal Mart and picked up this little charcoal grill and some "supplies".
We made the boys put it together.

They were pretty proud... what an accomplishment... you should have seen them trying to "follow the directions". It was funny to listen to them "we need an 'a' screw".... "we're out of those"...."dude, we've skipped too many steps!" .... Kept us laughing for such a long time!
This is what me n Mekala did.... we were quite entertained by the boys

So Stewart didn't really hit much, Hank hit a few, but Mekala.... SHE HIT EVERYTHING! (and I couldn't hit anything... even the clay pigeon I set up in a sagebrush... sad I know)

Since we were out at my parents and my dad was the only one home he came down on his four wheeler to check it all out. Thank goodness he brought us down another gun... it was small enough and only shot one round per load that I could handle it... (and I didn't waste too many rounds with it :)

This is true red-neck tail gate. Bullets, charcoal, Mt. Dew, zingers, a cooler and Katchup!

Hank's birthday... hence the fancy birthday cake with match candles :) He tried to blow them out, but thanks to the cheap matches he didn't have much work to do.

Hank and Mekala.... so cute.

Me n Stew. I sure love him.

So I pretty much had the most fun I've had in a long time. And now this semester is over!!
I am taking summer school and start in a mere two weeks... (sad day). But Stew is going to just work this summer. I am trying to get done fast and still have to make up for missing this fall semester. Should be ok... We still have some fun things planned for this summer so I'm not too bumbed about school. We can't wait till Debbie, Loni and Ada come to go to Yellowstone! I am SO looking forward to that! Can't wait!
Well, that's just a little bit about us and our plans! It should be a good summer!

The Garbage Disposal

So... in my previous post I mentioned our dead fishy Flavio and how Stewart cleaned his bowl the day before he died... Well I went into the kitchen while stew was cleaning the bowl and this is what i found... a husband looking under the sink... (never a good sign). Stew had just finished cleaning the bowl when he discovered that our garbage disposal was not working.... so the next thing he tried.....

....plunger the sink! :) This was fairly funny and scary at the same time... you shoulda seen him putting everything into plunging that sink.... but I was scared that he was going to push out the bottom of the sink! So after some meticulous research... we found that some of the little fish rocks had fallen into the sink and gotten stuck in the disposal. WELL... Stewart's hands won't fit down the garbage disposal... but mine would....

So... of course I got the job :) With the help of this huge flashlight... this teeny little screw driver and a supportive "cheerleader type" husband I managed to unjam what seemed like ten million little rocks....

And it was the Saddest thing..... there were only four little teeny rocks down there! It was a long night... but it's good that we can laugh about it now :)

Flavio

So this is a picture of our (old fish) Flavio. I got Stew two fishes for his birthday in March. He named one Pepe and one Flavio. While Pepe was short lived (although Lindy did take good care of him while we were on our honey moon:) He died shortly after we settled into our home together. So we only had Flavio, but boy was he a good fish! As exciting as a fish can be... Flavio was. I especially liked talking to him in the mornings or while i did the dishes (heck, it beat talking to myself). Well... not too long ago our beloved Flav kicked the bowl. Stewart changed his water (which leads to the next post...) and the next day Flav called it quits with life. We gave him a good flush and said some words... RIP FLAVIO. (btw... we no longer have any fish... maybe we can keep that alive :)
